Progressive People’s Party (PPP) says it will create two million decent jobs if Ghanaians vote for them to assume the reins of government.
The job creation agenda, according to the PPP would be underpinned by the party’s policy of ‘Jobs for All’ that support indigenous businesses with the needed enabling environment such as access to capital, access to market, transportation, technological innovations, low interest credit and subsidies to promote value addition that will transform the Ghanaian economy for the jobs to be created.
The PPP in a statement signed by its National Secretary, Remy Paa Kow Edmundson and issued to Today also said it would use government’s purchasing power to the direct benefit of indigenous entrepreneurs.
The statement was part of the party’s nationwide tour of the 16 regions by national executives of the party. The nationwide tour is to enable the party relate with the grassroots to know their challenges and renew their hope, urging them to work assiduously for victory in 2024. The tour will also interact with other groups and associations to rally their support for the party.
The statement further said, “ we have identified critical sectors of the economy that must be invigorated to create the much-needed decent jobs for Ghanaians. Our ‘Jobs for All Agenda’ will reduce unemployment by at least 40% in the first term of the PPP administration”.
To this end, the PPP urged the general public to support its agenda and elect the party into office to better the lives of the people.
