Story: Paloma KOYENSO

Cecilia Marfo is a renowned gospel musician and a Great Worshiper of Christ. She doubles as a Prophetess of God and an Evangelist. Cecilia Marfo was born in Kumasi in an area called Bompata in the Asafo Nfante Newtown. She was born on 20th November 1978.

Cecilia has admitted that she was not good at school and doesn’t have a great talent for composing songs. However, she thanks God for blessing her with the great flow that comes once she is in the studio to record.

Cecilia maintained faith in Christianity and remained loyal to her church and church activities until Esther Smith heard her sing at a church program and recommended her to a music producer, Cybex Music Production, who took interest in her talent and invested in her when things were hard for her.

From then she released her 9th album and titled it ”Faithfulness” which included the mega-hit songs ”Afunumu Ba and Mammre Mamgu”.

Cecilia has a worshipping center that is located at Tema Akosombo, Afienya Mataheko’s first bus stop. The center is called Osoriefie Worship Centre.

Clement Kofi Yeboah Adupedie is the husband of Cecilia with three children, two beautiful girls, and a boy.

She is an excellent testament to this turn of events as her first album (Mere Hwihwe Wo) was a great hit. It gave her a perfect foundation in the music industry with many awards.

She has never looked back ever since, releasing great hits of nothing but the pure gospel and praise-worthy worship songs.

She has won a lot of awards with this album including the Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Album of the year, and Song Writer of the year award, all in the prestigious Ghana Music Awards organized by Chatter house.
