We’ve enough fuel to last beyond two months-NPA acting CEO

The acting Chief Executive Officer  of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has assured Ghanaians that NPA has sufficient fuel reserves to last beyond two months, despite ongoing global uncertainties.

Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, speaking during a briefing with the Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy at Senchi on Saturday,June 21, 2025,  revealed that the country currently held  over 200 million litres of petrol and 150 million litres of diesel in reserve.

“I can assure the good people of Ghana that we have enough stock to last us beyond two months, and with all the ongoing efforts, we are confident that there will be no supply disruptions,” he stated.

Mr Tameklo further indicated that vessels carrying petroleum products were already within Ghanaian waters, and added that Nigeria’s Dangote Refinery was producing substantial volumes of petrol and diesel, which would further support Ghana’s national demand.
