Today to meet Ofori-Atta over his role in financial sector reforms

Story: Yaw Takyi

The Today Newspaper hopes that an interview with the Minister of Finance & Economic Planning comes on today as planned.

The newspaper wrote to the Minister who referred us to his Secretary.  The Minister scheduled our interview for Tuesday 1st August.

The subject of discussion is to get his side of the story relating to the financial sector reforms and specifically, any part he may have played in the revocation of licenses of some financial institutions such as UniBank, GN Bank/Savings and Heritage Bank.

The Minister was originally part of the respondents in the original lawsuit filed by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom in August 2019 but was subsequently removed from that list when the court processes commenced.
