The Communications Manager of Swedru All Blacks UFC, Nathaniel Obeng has made a U-turn on the lies he peddled against the chairman of Groupe Nduom who is also the bankroller of Elmina- based Division One team, Elmina Sharks, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.
To this end, he has retracted and apologised to the business magnate after his (Dr Nduom’s) lawyers had threatened to sue him for accusing their client of threatening the referee who handled . the Division One League match between Elmina Sharks and
Swedru All Blacks at the Nduom Sports Stadium to rescind his (referee ) his penalty decision against the former.
In a letter dated 25th February, 2025, and sighted by Today, Mr Obeng indicated that, he did not mean any harm or had any intention to soil the hard-earned reputation of Dr Nduom having the latter paid his dues to the region of birth, Central and Ghana as a whole.
“I hereby retract and apologise for saying Dr Nduom went onto the field to threaten the referee to rescind the penalty decision and asked his players to walk of the pitch” , the letter read in part.
The letter added: “ I hope he accepts my apology and forgives me”.
