The Progressive People’s Party (PPP)   has announced  the opening of nominations for its Presidential primaries from April 1 to April 30, 2024.

According to a statement issued to the media and signed  by the party’s National Secretary, Remy Paa Kow Edmundson,  the  decision was arrived at their last National Committee (NC) meeting held on held on March 7, 2024.  

Vetting of aspirants and elections the statement said, is expected to be completed by the  May 15,  2024. 

“ There will be a reduction in the filing fee for female candidates and Persons With Disabilities by 50%”, the statement added. 

The PPP also in the statement indicated that  the candidates must demonstrate their ability to mobilize resources in order to contest the 2024 elections on the ticket of the Party. 

“All interested aspirants are to pick their nomination forms from the Office of the National Secretary at the Party Headquarters, within the period indicated for the nominations”, it said. 

The PPP further indicated their  commitment   towards a free, fair and transparent Presidential Primary election and urged  all Party members to support this endeavour.
