NSBT 1st  Graduation Ceremony: Never give up!-Nduom inspires graduating and continuing students

The chairman of  the Governing Board of Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSBT), Dr papa Kwesi Nduom  has urged the graduands and continuing students of the institution never to give up no matter the odds or the challenges they will face in life. 

Dr Nduom’s ‘never give up’  advice was one of the three (3) inspiring messages the  renowned entrepreneur told the students while addressing them at the maiden congregation and  3rd matriculation  ceremony   of NSBT held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Ayensudo, near Elmina in the Central region of Ghana where the University is located. He also asked them to persevere  and  always ensure to give back to society when they become successful. 

Dr Nduom who is the  Founder and Global Chairman of Groupe Nduom, a multinational conglomerate said, as an educational institution of higher learning, NSBT’s plan was to deliver to its students a uniquely  practical and positive learning experience. 

To this end, the business mogul urged  both the graduating and continuing students to keep close with the school because “we promise to stay with you and help you to meet your life goals”.

He added: “As first batch of alumni, we promise to work with you to make sure you move on to productive  employment and a great life experience” .

The continuing students were  also not left out of the support,   as the founder of Groupe Nduom told them that they would receive practical instructions from time to time. 

“I’ll be here from time to time to share my experience with you”, Dr Nduom further promised.

He noted that,  the COVID-19 pandemic and the Groupe Nduom challenges derailed the progress of the school. However, he said, with the Grope Nduom character, the institution weathered the storm and overcame its challenges. 

Dr Nduom used the occasion to announce a scholarship fund which has been instituted by Groupe Nduom to help,  but needy students who would get admission into the school. 

He also mentioned that the school was  working towards partnership with some universities abroad for exchange programmes .

Earlier,  Dr Nduom fulfilled the promise he made to the first eight students of the school.  He gave each student $1000 as a start-up money  to invest in any business of their choice.

For his part, the Rector of NSBT, Prof. Daniel Nyarko, told the graduands  to always remember  that “life is full of ups and downs, with changes that are expected and unexpected”.

He said, how they would face the vicissitudes of life would depend on each individual.

“It depends on you to muster the right attitude to the challenging scenes of life. The good thing is that by your training, you have what it takes to hold your head above the waters and to ride any storm of life. It is a matter of attitude”, he advised.

Speaking on the sidelines of the progamme, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) representative on the Governing Board of NSBT, Dr Emmanuel Newman told  Today  that as regulators, they were impressed with the  progress of work at  NSBT.

He was optimistic that the school would soon  considering its development be given the Charter to start awarding their own degrees.

In all ,twenty-five (25) students were awarded with degrees and diplomas in BSc. Banking and Finance, BSc Information and Communication Technology, Management Studies and Information Technology.

NSBT is a member of Groupe Nduom. It is an accredited emerging tertiary institution with very unique and peerless  architecture which enhances the conducive academic atmosphere for studies in business, science and technology.  The institution is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and have all its programmes accredited.
