Nduom bemoans poor sanitation in Accra

Story: Atta Kwaku Boadi

President and Founder  of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has bemoaned  the poor state of sanitation in the capital city of Ghana , Accra.

In a post on his Facebook wall  Dr Nduom  asked: “So, who should we hold responsible for the filthy and dirty City called Accra? House fronts turned stores, kiosks of all types abound. Public spaces overgrown with weeds, with garbage uncollected etc”.

He continued: “From Ridge to Ring Road on the way to Kasoa? Hmmm. I can’t close my eyes and keep quiet about filth that insult my senses. I can only imagine what goes through the minds of the tourists we are going to great lengths to convince to come to Ghana”.

According to Dr Nduom, it is for this reason  that  the Ghanaian  voter should  be allowed  to vote for his or her  metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs) and all assembly members.

He noted  that  keeping the  environment clean and healthy would be one key factor the people will consider in deciding to vote for a chief executive.

“Right now, those appointed to run Accra have failed. The President who appointed them must find their replacements who will clean up the city and make its environment beautiful. Otherwise, the problem sits on his shoulders”, said.
