Dreams Football Club ended the season as winners of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup following their win over King Faisal on Sunday, June 187.
Goals from Abdul Aziz Issah and Sadiq Alhassan were enough for the Believers as they clinched their first FA Cup title in the club’s history.
Issah gave Dreams a dream start to the game after netting the opener after just 19 minutes into the promising final fixture.
King Faisal, who were hoping to enjoy glory from the cup final after suffering relegation from the Ghana Premier League, were handed a further blow after Sadiq doubled the lead for Dreams after a solo run in the final third of the pitch.
A late fight back was far from favourable for the Kumasi-based side as they ended suffering a 2-0 loss at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The victory also means Dreams have a first major trophy to their name and will have the opportunity to represent Ghana at next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
