The MP’s gesture was in response to an appeal by the Chief and people of Kanjarga towards thebad state of their roads  which was affecting economic activities in the constituency.

The Kanjarga-Doninga road was first awarded  by the John Mahama administration in 2015.

The contract had dedicated funding from funds for cocoa roads.

After losing power in 2016, the contract   was abrogated by the Akufo-Addo administration.

The reason for the abrogation, Today understands, was that  the areas were not cocoa growing areas .

However, the government promised to repackage and re-award the contract .

But  no work  after four years   was done on the road  as promised by the government.

Dr  Apaak who has been very helpful and instrumental to his constituents before and after becoming an MP could not watch his people    struggling for good roads.

According to a cross-section of the people in the area , he  paid for the services of PAC Group, who  graveled the Kanjarga road.

A constituent who spoke to Today in an interview on a condition of anonymity noted many other sacrifices the MP had  mad from his personal resources towards the development of Kanjargaand Builsa South.
