More additional doses of J&J vaccines arrive In Ghana

Ghana has taken delivery of a further 244, 800 Johnson and Johnson single dose vaccines through the Africa Vaccine Acquisition Trust, AVAT Initiative.

Under the AVAT initiative, Ghana is expected to receive 16.9 million of the 50 million doses to be distributed to AU Member States by the end of the year (2021).

This follows the initial delivery of 177,600 in August, this year. Afrexim Bank pre-financed the procurement for AU Member States and Caribbean Countries.
