Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Portuguese coach Mariano Barreto to sever ties after six months in charge of the Porcupine Warriors.
The former Ghana national team coach seems to have fallen out with management after ending the season trophy less.
Barreto signed a two-year contract in March 2021 to replace the sacked Maxwell Konadu.
Kumasi-based Nhyira FM has reported the two parties have agreed in principle to go separate ways.
The 64-year-old led Kotoko to a second-place finish in last season’s Ghana Premier League.
