Kofi Asamoah Siaw confirmed as PPP’s 2024 flagbearer

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has confirmed  Kofi Asamoah-Siaw as the party’s  flagbearer for the  2024 Elections

The PPP  in a statement  signed  by its National secretary, Remy Paa Kow Edmondson  and issued to the media yesterday  announced that Mr. Kofi Asamoah-Siaw would be the party’s flagbearer  for the upcoming 2024 general elections. 

According to the statement,  the decision was made during an extraordinary National Committee meeting, where Mr. Asamoah-Siaw was the sole candidate to have picked and filed his nomination, thereby running unopposed.

“The party believes that Mr. Asamoah-Siaw’s wealth of experience in politics and his professional background as a seasoned Banker make him an ideal candidate to lead the PPP to victory in the 2024 elections. His previous roles within the party, including National Secretary and Policy Director, demonstrate his commitment and dedication to the PPP’s ideals”, PPP in the statement said.

The statement added: “Mr. Asamoah-Siaw has a proven track record in politics, having contested in the 2012 Parliamentary elections for the Akyem Oda Constituency and serving as the vice-presidential candidate for the PPP in the 2020 general elections”.

The noted that PPP was  confident that with Mr. Asamoah-Siaw at the helm, the party would  break the duopoly held by the NPP and NDC in the upcoming elections and increase its fortunes.
