Story: Atta Kwaku Boadi
Groupe Nduom (GN), a multinational conglomerate has held its annual mid-year retreat in Elmina in the Central region. The four days retreat brought together managers of various entities within the Groupe.
Welcoming the managers to the retreat, the Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom urged them to focus more on successes instead of allowing the challenges they face overshadow them.
Although he acknowledged the difficulties some of the companies were going through, he, however, further urged them not to give up but press on , noting that there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
“GN is a global brand and nothing can change that. We are unique in our own way, and that is why I am proud being associated with this brand”, he said.
Dr Nduom also noted that some of the GN companies were doing well despite the challenges they face. He used the occasion to advise the managers to prioritise investments on behalf of the companies they head so that in times of trouble they would not be found wanting.
He was hopeful that the Groupe would pick up their pieces together and bounce back.
Earlier, the president of Groupe Nduom Ghana, Dr Nana Kweku Nduom inspired the managers to give out their best in everything they do for the companies they head.
He said, although the December 7 polls could have impact on the Groupe depending on who would win the election, the mangers , he said must look beyond the election and ensure the sustainability of their various companies.
“Many people gave up on us after what happened to us, but here we are doing great, and I am confident that if we continue on this path and probably add a little to what we are doing no one can beat us”, he said.
The managers were taken through visualiztion of KPIs, workforce productivity and simulation exercise on how to maximise profit as a company. They also made time out of the busy progromme to plant trees at the Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSBT) in Elmina near Ayensudo.
