GN Reinsurance has been named the Best Reinsurance Company of the Year 2025 at the 6th Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) Awards, held on August 26, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. 

This marks the second consecutive victory for the company, which also secured the top honor in 2024. 

 In an interview with Amansan Television (ATV)  on the achievement, Chief Executive Officer Joseph Tieku stated that the back-to-back recognition reflects the company’s commitment to providing reliable capacity and efficient service to insurance providers. 

 “If your work is appreciated by a group due to how efficient you are, it’s a good feeling. It also encourages staff to give off their best,” Tieku said, attributing the win to strong customer satisfaction, prompt claims fulfillment, and continuous investment in staff development. 

 Founded in 2014, GN Reinsurance is eyeing international expansion as its next phase of growth.  

Mr. Tieku emphasized that the company has laid a solid regulatory foundation and aimed  to establish subsidiaries outside Ghana in the future. 

 Noted that the company could  grow, and expressed his ambition for GN Reinsurance to expand beyond Ghana. 

 “My wish is to see this company grow, pushing and making headlines,” he said, 

 He said the company had laid a strong foundation and, as a regulated entity, was committed to meeting the requirements and responsibilities expected of it. 

 According to him, “GN Reinsurance has the potential to become much bigger than it is today, with the latest industry recognition serving as further motivation for management and staff to continue improving its operations and service to clients”.
