Fire destroys  Labone SHS Girls’ dormitory

A devastating fire has ravaged three girls’ dormitories at Labone Senior High School (SHS)  in Accra, leaving significant damage to the facilities.

Emergency services, including the Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly to the scene and worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control.

The cause of the fire  was yet to be determined.

But the fire broke out while students were attending afternoon prep.

The blaze impacted three out of six dormitories, with one dormitory completely destroyed and two others sustaining partial damage. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the affected students have been relocated to the assembly hall for temporary accommodation.
