Mrs. Veronica Oppong, an auntie to one of Ghana’s top movie actors, Akwesi Asamoah, popularly known as Big Akwess says, she suspects something might be wrong with her nephew for him to have made such malicious allegations against her sister, who happens to be Big Akwess’s mother.
Speaking on Ahomka FM news with Omanhene Kwame Addo, Mrs. Oppong indicated that, none of what Big Akwes said concerning his mother, the late Mrs. Evelyn Koranteng, is true. According to her, Big Akwes’s mother died in December 1992 at the age of 32 years. As at that time, Big Akwes’s father, Mr. Kweku Dwantoa, was living and working in Abidjan. According to Mrs. Oppong, before the death of her sister, Big Akwes’s father and his mother were not living together as husband and wife. Mr. Kweku Dwantoa had married in Abidjan whiles Big Akwes’s mother, Evelyn, was also married to a teacher by name Mr. Koranteng.
She further revealed that, Big Akwes’s father was not a pharmacist as portrayed by Big Akwes.
Reacting to reasons why Big Akwes could possibly come out with such a story, Mrs. Oppong said she really does not know.
