Apaak fixes 43 broken boreholes for constituency

National Democratic Congress’Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South constituency in the Upper East region Dr Clement Apaak has fixed 43 broken boreholes in the constituency.

The total cost of the project, according to the vociferous MP was estimated at total GHS 103,100.

Thirty-eight(38) out of the 43 boreholes were initially repaired by the Al-Shaa Company at the cost of GHS 99, 200  while the remaining five(5) were fixed at the cost of GHS 3, 900 by Mr. Akanbongnaaba at GHS 3,900.

In an interview with Today, Dr Apaak noted that boreholes would help alleviate the water challenges facing his constituency.

He said, he was elected to serve his people and not the other way round.

The Builsa South MP promised to be there for his constituents either in parliament or out of parliament.

‘’My first duty as an MP is to see to the welfare of my people and that is exactly what I am doing’’, he said.

Phase one of the project witnessed 29 boreholes at the cost of GHS 54, 800 completed.

Meanwhile, a KG Block has been completed and two are ongoing.
