Agric Minister Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto resigns

The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto has resigned.

He tendered his resignation to President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday 10th January 2023.

This comes four days after Trade Minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, resigned from the government.

Dr. Afriyie Akoto’s resignation is for him to focus on his Presidential ambition to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2024 general elections.

President Akufo-Addo who accepted the resignation wished him well in all his endeavours.
