The first fire appliance reportedly arrived at the scene at 1:42 a.m., and firefighting teams battled the blaze for more than three hours before bringing it under control.
The fire was finally confined around 4:49 a.m. after what officials described as “intensive firefighting operations.”
Acting Chief Fire Officer , together with the Director of Operations and the Greater Accra Regional Commander, visited the scene to assess the extent of the damage and coordinate ongoing response efforts.
No injuries were reported , though property losses were expected to be significant given the commercial nature of the area.
The GNFS said a full investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire.
