TUC gets new  Secretary General

Deputy Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Joshua Ansah, has replaced Dr Anthony Yaw Baah as substantive Secretary General. Mr Ansah went unopposed after Yaw Baah’s tenure ended.

Mr Bernard Owusu has also been elected as the new chairman of the TUC.

Mr. Owusu until he was elected Chairman of TUC, was the National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU). He takes over from Alex Opoku-Nyarko.

Bernard Owusu polled 347 votes to defeat Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was seeking to extend his tenure.
