Ghana’s undisputed rapper known in showbiz circles as Teephlow has dedicated his maiden Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) plaque to the President & Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwasi Nduom and his label, Spyderlee Entertainment.
Teephlow took the Record Of The Year award with his banger christened ‘State Of the Art’ (SOA) at the 19th edition of the VGMA held on Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
Teephlow becomes the first Spyderlee signed artiste to win an award for his label Spyderlee Entertainment after signing a five-year deal with the label.
Although, Spyderlee Entertainment managed music duo Keche in 2013, the duo hit song ‘Aluguntugu’ failed to pick an award at the VGMA in 2013.
Teephlow on the night, after receiving the award thanked Dr. Nduom, Vice President, Business Development and Finance of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Nana Kweku Nduom and his label Spyderlee Entertainment for their enormous support to his career.
The ‘Phlowducation’ act was nominated for three categories specifically, Best Rapper of The Year, Hip Pop Song of The Year and Record of The Year which he was crowned the winner.
Teephlow won the award by defeating Kumi Guitar, Sarkodie, and Samini.
