Movie producer, Socrates Sarfo has lauded two Ghanaian contemporary movie producers for changing patronage of movies at the cinemas.
The hot fork producer commended, Peter Sedufia and Kofi Asamoah for changing the cinema patronage in Ghana.
According to him, these young guys “we need to empower them to continue to produce more great movies”.
He revealed as a panel on Accra-based Zylofon FM flagship programme dubbed ‘Showbiz Agenda’.
“These people need the support to continue to push harder when it comes to movie premiere at the cinemas”, he said.
He added that: “Cinema patronage at first was not really patronized very well until finally these two came and added a new twist to their movie industry which is worth watching”.
“Let’s continue to push hard so movie premiere in cinema will continue to be patronize and still Ghanaians will love to visit the new cinemas in the country”, he averred.
When asked if the internet can also stream movies, he said, for now, internet in Ghana has some challenges and “left to me [Socrates Sarfo] we should rather concentrate on cinemas we have currently”.
Kofi Asamoah and Peter Sedufia have produced tons of movies to their credit and won many laurels.
