NDC activist charges Mills
An ardent activist of the ruling National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti Region, Gabriel Aga, has strongly called on President John Evans Atta Mills to relieve the Ashanti regional minister of his post.
According to him, Dr. Kweku Agyeman-Mensah is the most corrupt government official in the region.
Not mincing words, Aga stated that the minister was not interested in ensuring the success of the Prof. John Evans Atta Mills administration, but in pursuing his personal interest thereby making him indulge in several corrupt practices.
Gabriel Aga, who is the National President of Friends of Atta Mills Movement (FAMM) therefore called on the Ashanti Region executives of the NDC to, as a matter of importance, impress upon the minister to resign immediately before the youth of the party descend on him in January.
He explained that activists within the party must reveal the minister’s corrupt attitude and that of others in the party, and all of them condemned in order for them not to embarrass the whole umbrella party.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Kessben FM, Gabriel Aga, who was posed a question about the infamous Alfred Woyome scandal, suddenly began introducing himself by the attack on the regional minister.
Ignoring the show host, Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye’s attempt to prompt him of the severity of his comments, Aga continued his assault by comparing Dr. Agyeman-Mensah to his predecessor, Mr. Kofi Poku Manu, who was axed by the president some months ago.
Gabriel Aga said the former regional minister was far better than the incumbent minister, and it was a mistake that the president appointed Dr. Agyeman Mensah to succeed Mr. Opoku Manu.
