Relentless Customers of DKM, a group based in the Northern Region, fighting the cause of DKM victims, has urged the police and other national security agencies to widen their scope of investigation on the matter.
Consequently, the group charged the national security agencies to probe, especially persons who have ties with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the defunct DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited, Mr Martin K. Delle.
In a statement issued yesterday and signed by the President of Relentless Customers of DKM, John Akologo, it proposed that the government should be interested in every angle of the matter as part of its efforts to retrieve monies of victims of DKM.
This, the statement said, will help address the matter, and also prevent such occurrences in the future.
Along this line, Relentless Customers of DKM entreated all its members to remain calm in the face of mounting frustrations while they work to solve the problem.
Furthermore, the group assured its members that they will not relent in their quest to retrieve every penny taken from customers of DKM.
“We are adamantly resolute and relentless in our quest to retrieve every penny stolen by the owners of Diamond Microfinance Company Ltd. We want to assure our CUSTOMERS that we will not relent in our collective efforts to retrieve our monies,” the statement stressed.
According to the group, they have received credible information that the CEO of DKM is directly related to an influential politician.
It would be recalled that in 2015 the Bank of Ghana (BoG) suspended the operations of DKM Diamond Micro Finance and some others for flouting the rules governing the operations of the microfinance business in the country.
The action revealed loss of cash deposits by thousands of Ghanaians who had invested in those companies.
