The Black Princesses are expected to fly out of Ghana for a 3-nation tour as part of preparations towards the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be hosted by France.
Ghana, who are pitted in Group A alongside hosts France, New Zealand and the Netherlands, are set to participate in two sponsored international tournaments in Singapore and China.
Coach Yusif Basigi gets to test the level of his Black Princesses first in the Kubber Challenge Cup scheduled for June 11-18, 2018 in Singapore.
The team will then head to China for another invitational tournament from July 1-9.
The Ghana FA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has also secured a camping facility for the Princesses in Spain which shares a border with France, hosts of the U-20 Women’s World Cup. As part of the final lap of their preparations, the team will stay in Spain for acclimatization purposes for a two-week period – July 17 to 31.
The 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kicks off August 5 with Ghana taking on hosts France in the second game of the day.
