Newly-elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) national youth organiser is accusing some bigwigs in the party of inciting delegates against him ahead of the just-ended national youth delegates conference in Gomoa-Feteh.
According to George Opare Addo, aside from bigwigs working against him, many tipped his contenders as the favourites ahead of the conference.
He said he was unperturbed because delegates voted for him based on his competence and the message he preached.
He alleged that some NDC bigwigs including NDC MPs tried to work against him because they claimed he was an anti-Mahama boy.
Mr Opare Addo, who was speaking on Adom TV morning show, Badwam, yesterday added that he knew Mr Mahama didn’t have anything to do with those machinations or the election.
Mr Opare Addo defeated two other contenders, Yaw Brogya Gyemfi and Wonder Madillo to emerge winner.
The man, known to many as Pablo, said for the NDC to return to power, the youth will play a large role hence a capable person like himself must lead the youth wing.
On his preparedness for the task ahead of the 2020 polls, he indicated “I had to fully assess the situation and hold multiple consultations to arrive at this decision.”
