NLA Empowers U/E Farmer

 

National Lottery Authority (NLA), through its new Jackpot game—Daywa—has empowered Mr Francis Pwalua, a 64-year-old farmer from Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

 

Mr Francis Pwalua received a cheque of GHC126,000.00 as the ultimate winner for Daywa 5/39 Jackpot game. He won the GHC126, 000.00 with only GHC2.

 

This was announced in a press statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of NLA at the weekend.

 

The Daywa Jackpot game—a new interesting game—was launched on 26th November, 2019 at the premises of the NLA head office.

 

The Daywa Game is a Public-Private Partnership initiative involving the National Lottery Authority and Luckweb Ghana Limited.

 

According to the statement, under the able leadership of Mr Kofi Osei-Ameyaw as the Director-General of the  National Lottery Authority, exciting new games have been introduced to support the revenue generation capacity of NLA alongside the original 5/90 Lottery Game.

 

The following new games have been successfully rolled out under Mr Osei-Ameyaw-led management, it said.

 

These, the statement said were the NLA VAG 5/90 Lottery, a collaboration with the Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG); Daywa 5/39 with Luckweb Ghana Limited, Lucky 3 in collaboration with Keed Ghana Limited, and; 787 Game in collaboration with Wotiriye Lottery.

 

It disclosed that “By the end of 2020, new games would be implemented by the National Lottery Authority in order to expand the revenue mobilisation of the NLA to support national development.”

 

“Within the last three years, the NLA has achieved a lot and will continue to work hard in accordance with the vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Beyond Aid Agenda,” the statement noted.

 

To this end, the management of National Lottery Authority congratulated Mr Pwalua for winning the GHC126,000.00 Daywa Jackpot Game with only GHC2.

 

“We urge him to use the money wisely for the benefit of himself, family and society,” it advised,
