MTN Ghana has organised the premier Game Conference at the Accra Digital Centre on Friday, 30th of August, 2019.
Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo-Ganson, expressed his satisfaction with the attendance and commitment of stakeholders in the gaming industry.
He commended the guest speakers whose in-depth knowledge in the area will boost the confidence of the youth to recognise the economic monetary potential in Games.
Noel Kojo-Ganson said: “the Gaming industry has proven itself globally to be an economic force to reckon with, employing thousands of individuals and generating revenues they never imagined’.
Some experts in the game industry, notably Eric Elder, who is a renowned international gamer with several years of experience in the gaming industry was the key note speaker.
He is the founder of OW! (Online Worlds) Entertainment which was established in 1997 to create virtual worlds for movie & TV properties. His revolutionary Game Wizards video game training program, which has helped launch the careers of some of the top talent in AAA games today, celebrates 16 years in business this year.
He said one can start the Game business with any theme or topic for business, sports or anything and it can be developed to grow.
A Business Development Manager at Unity Technologies, Johana Riquier, was another resource person who said African culture and content must be visible, while Africans must work together.
Her focus was ensuring developer adoption, relations and revenue growth in the entire Europe Middle East and Africa.
The MTN gaming conference is to provide Gamers, stakeholders, app developers and gaming enthusiasts the opportunity to connect with others who share their interests within the world of gaming while exchanging ideas on how to develop interactive games.
The conference was an engagement with specific industry players whose works can be enhanced through digital means.
Eyiram Tawiah, one of the resource personnel urged Gamers to be prepared to sacrifice and work in teams. He commended MTN Ghana for hosting the conference.
