MCE calls for support as he seeks God’s favour

Leader of Hope Generation Ministry, located at Oblogo junction in the Greater Accra Region, Prophet Eric Amponsah, aka Computer-Man, has thanked God for the election of Mr Patrick Kwasi Brago Kumor as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.

Prophet Computer-Man in a sermon over the weekend lauded Mr Kumor for his continuous faith in God, assuring him that God will protect and guide him to deliver his vision of transforming the municipality to greater heights.

He called on the MCE not to be afraid to talk about the word of God, but urged him to take Jesus as his guide, friend, gift and his Lord.

Prophet Amponsah made the observation while preaching at the thanksgiving service in the honour of Mr Kumor at his church at Oblogo junction in Accra on Sunday, September 3, 2018.

He entreated the new MCE for Weija-Gbawe to work hard to become a shining example to his constituents, advising him to disassociate himself from ‘bad behaviours.’

Prophet Computer-Man commended the assembly members of Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly for conducting themselves in the way and manner they endorsed Mr Kumor as the MCE to man the affairs of the assembly.

According to him, the peaceful manner in which the election was conducted spoke volumes of God’s favour upon the Weija-Gbawe municipality.

The thanksgiving service also saw jubilant supporters and sympathisers of Mr Kumor earlier in a procession through the principal streets of Oblogo junction.

And so thick was the crowd that vehicular movement virtually came to a halt as the supporters were right in the middle of the road waiting for the MCE-elect.

Some top members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) graced the event.

Also in the attendance was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Mrs Tina Mensah.

Speaking in an interview with Today, Mr Kumor thanked Prophet Computer-Man and the entire congregation for their kind words, and equally called for support of his constituents.

He also thanked the assembly members for their support during the election that gave him the mandate to lead them and assured them that he will do all within his power to justify the trust reposed in him.

He asked the man of God and the congregation at the church service for a three-fold prayer: “firstly, to thank God for allowing peace to prevail in Ghana after 2016 general election and also for God’s continuous blessings on Ghana; secondly, to pray for peace and cordiality in the Assembly members endorsement for him that was held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, and; thirdly to pray for victory for him and for God to give him, wisdom, strength and a compassionate heart to be a good leader.”

He also appealed to the people in the municipality to put their political idiosyncrasies aside and co-operate with him for the development of the area.
