Marriot Hotels International has held its first Christmas tree lighting ceremony since it began operations in Ghana in April this year.
The colourful ceremony- which was under the patronage of the hotel’s management- was held with friends, family members, clients and business partners to mark the global tradition of the Marriott Hotels International.
The evening was lit with Christmas songs and choruses from the hotel choir, live band music and a wonderful performance from Ghana’s amazing young Disc Joker, DJ Switch, and the winner of TV3’s Talented Kids.
The Christmas tree lighting by the hotel, according to the General Manager of Marriot Hotel, Nino Constantinou, was considered as a festive day for the hotel to bring clients, residents, friends together to eat, drink and dine as they all zoom into the Christmas season.
According to Nino Constantinou, although the hotel does the tree lighting every year, this was the first time such an event was being organised in Ghana.
He explained that “in our business, we consider people as our top priority so that is why we want to celebrate this day with them. This is an evening when we all come together as one family and hope to have better and fruitful business relationship as we move along.”
He also said that Marriott Hotel was in the country to afford business men and women an alternative and equivalent place to live, a serene environment that will help them with their business engagements whilst they are in the country.
It was a fun-filled event with Santa Clause sharing fantastic gifts to their guests, especially children.
