Legalise private lotto business CLAAG appeals to Akufo-Addo

Concerned Lotto Agents Association of Ghana (CLAAG) has petitioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with regard to amendment of National Lottery Act 722, 2006.

Speaking to the journalists in Accra, Executive Secretary of the Association, Mr Kwaku Duah-Tawia, stated that his outfit would gain about 400 million Ghana cedis as revenue if private lotto is legalised.

According to him, the legalisation of private lottery was therefore a big avenue to solve part of the unemployment problem at least in the interim.

He appealed to the president to hold a stakeholders meeting for the private lotto operators to provide the evidence of this colossal source of income.
