John Kudalor

Ghana’s Inspector General of Police John Kudalor has accepted a doctorate degree conferred on him by the controversial Dayspring Christian University.

The National Accreditation Board has cited the US-based university as one of the unaccredited outfits in the West African country.

However, in a statement the Ghana Police Service said the IGP has received the doctorate honour without detailing the programme the police boss undertook.

According to the Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, Supt Cephas Arthur: “The academic laurel of Doctor of Psychology- Conservative Model ad eundem was awarded to the IGP on 28th June, 2015.

“However, the award was received early June 2016, when Mr. John Kudalor visited the United States on official assignment. The Police Public Affairs Directorate is not immediately available for comment on the issue.”

Kudalor was sworn into office in February 2016 after acting in November the preceding year.
