The Greater Accra (G/A) Handball League enters match day 14 across match venues.
The league, which is played from Thursday through to Saturday, comprising 11 male clubs and nine female clubs, will see Asomdwe come up against Lekma at the stadium today.
Lekma, who lost at home to Prisons, will try to make amends to improve their position on the table. They have won a match so far in the league and currently in 10th place with 2 points.
Another match to be witnessed today will be between Navy and 6th placed Cantonments Youth at the Kaneshie Complex, while Legonites who also lost their week 13th match against Hostac in both male and female categories will welcome 2nd place Prisons to the Legon Court tomorrow.
Hostac will, however, travel to face bottom placed, Renijoe, at the Kaneshie Complex on Friday.
The only match to be played on Saturday will be between Police and Fire at the same venue.
Meanwhile, the Handball Association of Ghana is having their regional referee training course and congress for all referees from the tertiary, colleges of education, second cycle and basic schools at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The course, which also involves referees from the security services, started on Monday, July 24 and will end on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
The training is aimed at upgrading the technical capabilities of upcoming young referees and senior referees and also to equip them with skills in conformity to the new trends in handball officiating.
Police, Prisons and Navy still lead the tables of both male and female categories of the league.
