GRASAG hits streets today

Members of Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) will today commence their long-awaited demonstration which was called off at the eleventh hour last week. 

According to the National President of GRASAG, Mr. Rashid Kwesi Etuaful, his outfit has come to the crossroad and that there was no turning back.

The reason for the demonstration, he explained, is to put pressure on government to release “our bursaries and thesis grant due to us.”

He indicated that their meetings with the Scholarship Secretariat and the Ministry of Education have not yielded any desired results.

According to him, members of the Association are expected to converge at Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Circle at 7:30 am.

The demonstration route, he disclosed, will start from the Obra Spot through Nkrumah Avenue to Farisco Traffic Light, then to Kimbu Senior High School (SHS) and Atta Mills High Street and end at Hearts of Oak Park where the leadership will address then media.

Thereafter, he said, a petition will be presented to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the President through the Chief of Staff.
