Ghana marks Cocoa Day Oct 1




2016 Cocoa Day celebration is scheduled for 1st October, 2016 at Tepa Senior High School Park, Tepa in the Ashanti Region with a focus on how to attract the youth to engage in cocoa farming.

Cocoa Day is an annual programme which is organised by Ghana Cocoa Board to recognise hardworking cocoa farmers, create awareness of the health and nutritional benefits of cocoa and promote its consumption among Ghanaians.

The event is themed; “Transforming the cocoa sector for economic growth.”

Since 2006, October 1 has been marked as Cocoa Day to create awareness about the cocoa industry.
