GCNet, in collaboration with GIFF, has organised an African Union family hangout to refresh the minds, body and soul of workers for a renewed vigour at workplace.
The family hangout, according to the Human Resource Manager, Madam Akosua Konadu Asamoah, was to find a level playing field to brood over matters concerning the discharge of their core mandate, which include facilitating trade and mobilising revenue for the state.
“We all have the same core mandate; we do the same work with an outlook of revenue generation for the state yet do not know ourselves. This hangout was strategic in knowing each other with regard to what we do and to link up,” she explained.
According to Madam Konadu Asamoah, the outing was one of the periodic programmes lined up to foster teamwork for a smooth carrying out of their core mandate.
She added that work could be effective and efficient if one knew who to contact as well as time needed to facilitate progress.
She assured the general public of her outfit’s commitment to completing the intended tax offices in order to aid in tax collection.
She was hopeful that by the end of 2018 all tax offices would have been completed for usage to ensure that revenue collection is efficient,” the HR manager assured.
She was also optimistic that such programmes would be periodically staged to enhance efficiency and high productivity.
Workers who participated in the event included personnel from corporate institutions like Zenith Bank, TESCO West Africa, AMS Logistics, Freight Forwarders, Latex Foam, TK Shipping and IPMC, GPHA, GIFF and SADEYTEX.
