FreshPak NWL: Sea Lions, Police Ladies remain unbeaten

Elmina Sea Lions and Prisons Ladies maintained their unbeaten run in this seasons FreshPak National Women’s League (NWL) with wins over the weekend in the Northern and Southern zone.

After beating Immigration Ladies 1-0 away at the Carl Rendorf Park, Sea Lions returned to the Nduom Stadium and inflicted a 2-0 thrashing against Soccer Intellectuals while Prisons Ladies pummelled Northern Ladies 4-0 at the Coronation Park in Sunyani.

Black Queens’ striker, Jane Ayieyam, and Grace Animah were on the score sheet for Police Ladies.

Meanwhile, Halifax were held to a goalless stalemate at home by Lady Strikers in a game played at the ACCT Park.

Elsewhere in the Northern Zone, Perpetual Agyekum and Black Maidens midfielder, Milot Opoku, scored as Hasaacas Ladies defeated Immigration Ladies 2-0.

 

Defending Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, snatched an away point by drawing 0-0 with Fabulous Ladies. Ruth Animah, Abigail Tutuwaa, Rita Okyere and Helena Obeng scored in Police Ladies 4-0 thrashing of Northern Ladies.

Debutants, Pearl Pia Ladies, secured their second straight victory by defeating Ashtown Ladies 4-0 at home, thanks to a brace by Fueina Mumuni and a goal each from Humu Sulem Abdul Rahman and Kubura Fuseini were all Pearl Pia needed to snatch all points.
