Elmina Sharks Duo of Yaw Acheampong and Felix Addo grab NASCO Coach and Player of the month

Coach Joachim Yaw Acheampong and striker Felix Addo have been awarded the PLB’s NASCO coach and player of the month for July respectively.

Coach Yaw Acheampong has guided Elmina Sharks to unprecedented four straight wins in the 2016/2017 Ghana premier league season in his stop-gap role. He has led the Fearsome Elmina Sharks to victories against Bolga All Stars, Liberty Professionals, AshGold and Bechem Utd respectively. The four wins have been recorded after his six games in charge following the decision to ask Kobina Amissah to step aside.

Felix Addo on the other hand has seen his career rejuvenated under Yaw Acheampong after falling out of the strikers pecking order earlier in the season. He has led the resurgence of the team in the last six games having scored three goals and assisted once in his last four outings for the Elmina based team.

Yaw Acheampong beat off competition from Olympics’ Tom Strand, Medeama’s Evans Adottey while striker Felix Addo pulled through against Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey and Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona.

The entire management and supporters of Elmina Sharks congratulate the pair for ‘the honour done to our team and urges you to push on for the ultimate prize of coach and player of the year’.
