Ellias Adjetey bows out of Nmashie Mankralo stool matter

A claimant to the Mankralo Stool of the Nuumo Nmashie family of the Teshie Krobo quarters of the Ga State, Ellias Adjetey, has given up his claim to the Nmashie Mankralo stool.

Following this move, Ellias Adjetey has thrown his support behind, Jonathan Adjetey Adjei, a family member) who has the Stool name, “Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III.

The indigenes of Teshie, a suburb of Accra, will remember Saturday, 23rd September, 2018 as a day that a closure was brought to the Nmashie Mankralo stool matter.

On the said day (23rd September, 2018), residents of Teshie witnessed one of the most interesting moments within the KLU DIN family as two claimants of the Mankralo stool smoked peace pipe with one of the claimants—Mr Ellias Adjetey renouncing his claim for Mr Jonathan Adjetey Adjei, whom had gone through all the necessary traditional rites with Stool name—Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Krobo Dzasetse, Nii Adjetey Otinkorang I, the Head of family, Ex W.O.1 Henry Nii Sowah Otinkorang, and other important personalities in the community.

In an interview, Mr Adjetey averred: “I will support him [Jonathan Adjetey Adjei] to succeed not only because we are from the same family, but he is also my son, as you can see as a father I cannot fight with my son on a position.”

Against this background, Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III expressed gratitude to the Krobo Dzasetse, Nii Adjetey Otinkorang I, and the Head of family, Ex W.O.1 Henry Nii Sowah Otinkorang, and promised to work beyond their expectations.”

The two promised to work together to promote peace within the family.

And to mark the end of the feud, a sheep and a goat were slaughtered amidst the pouring of libation.

This further entrenches the support and affirms Jonathan Adjetey Adjei as the Mankralo of Krobo and Teshie at large and also the Head of Nuumo Nmashie family.
