Dominion University swears in new council members

Dominion University College has out-doored a committee of experts to augment the school’s management to steer its prime administrative functions at the topmost level.

The seventeen members, who have been called to serve as the University Council members, have been given the mandate to serve for a four-year term.

The swearing in of these prominent figures into office happened last week Friday at the university’s premises in Accra.

The team of experts is, therefore, bringing knowledge and experience to help the university soar to new heights, which are in accordance with international standards

Vice Chairman at Action Chapel’s College of Bishops, Bishop Isaac Clive Mould, who ushered them in taking their oaths, was confident they would live up to expectations.

He told Today that: “Dominion University has a new bold and aggressive vision to be a leading centre for excellence in career and employability skills development in the country and across the globe.”

Speaking with the Executive Director at the African Leadership Institute, Professor Felix Hammond, and one of the key members, who was sworn in, he was emphatic that they have been carefully selected with diverse professional backgrounds and rich experiences, ranging from prominent bankers, academics, businessmen, higher education experts, academics, human capital experts, to gender and international development experts.

“The rich background of the new council will help drive us to accomplish this vision.

“I have no doubt that by the time the term of this council comes to an end, we will be in the frontline,” Prof. Hammond assured.

The new council members pledged to deliver to lift the name of the university high in attaining its objectives,” he added.
