Digicut Production & Advertising, an advertising and public relations agency, was yesterday listed on the Ghana Alternative Exchange (GAX).
The event took place at the Cedi House in Accra.
Present at the event included the Vice President, Business Development and Finance, Groupe Nduom (GN), Dr Nana Kweku Nduom.
General Manager of Digicut, Mr. Richmond Lankwei Lamptey, in an address, said “Digiut will forever be known as the first advertising agency to be listed on GAX, and that it will become an international advertising agency.
…We will reverse the trend where people travel outside Ghana to train in modern advertising techniques and skills,” he assured.
Mr. Lamptey revealed that Digicut has also been registered as an advertising agency in Liberia with the name Digicut Production and Advertising (Liberia) Limited.
He stated that “this is just the foundation and that every mistake we have made is part of the learning process which will catapult us to becoming the best we can in the world.
…There will be a new Digicut that will be a sought-after brand in Ghana and the rest of the world. This is the pledge we are making to our investors and shareholders,” he pledged.
For his part, Managing Director of Ghana Stock Exchange, Mr. Kofi S. Yamoah, noted that the offer provided opportunity for 270 holders to join Digicut.
“They (Digicut) raised close to GHC 3 million representing 30% of the expanded shareholding of the company and I know this company is profitable and it fits very well with the purpose of bringing many of these companies which are profitable unto the Ghana Alternative Exchange,” he added.
He said, “it is expected of Digicut to provide information to the general public and all shareholders who are likely to buy or exit the company in due course of time.”
“Information will enable us to know whether the company is doing well or not and will also enable shareholders make informed decisions. You must provide necessary information such as changes in directorship and annual interim returns,” he indicated.
Vice President, Business Development & Finance, Groupe Nduom, Dr Nana Kweku Nduom, expressed excitement over the new development and encouraged Digicut to do more.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the great things that Digicut can do here in Ghana, Liberia, UK and USA, so as to make Groupe Nduom a global company, and really represent Ghana proudly all over the world,” he said.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included, Mr.Seth Q. Ofori, General Manager, State Insurance Company (SIC) Brokerage, Mr Samuel Appenteng, Chairman, GAX Governing Committee, and Mr. Kwame Ofori Asomaning, Managing Director of Ghana Growth Fund Company Limited.
Digicut is a subsidiary of Groupe Nduom (GN), and the fifth company on the Ghana Alternative Exchange.
