Coconut Grove Regency Hosts Jazz Concert on April 30


Jazz is an American music developed from ragtime and blues and characterized by propulsive syncopated rhythms, polyphonic ensemble playing, varying degrees of improvisation, and often deliberate distortions of pitch and timbre.

In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.


As part of activities marking this year’s International Jazz Day, Ghanaian hospitality giant, Coconut Grove Hotels in partnership with event management company, Spyder Lee Entertainment is organising a Jazz Concert at the poolside of the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel (Ridge – Accra) on Tuesday, 30th April, 2019.


The event is anticipated to be a night of celebration with an expected galaxy of stars in attendance and performances by Jimmy Beckley and other renowned jazz musicians. Patrons are assured of experiencing the relaxing effect of jazz music which can have incredible healing influence.
