Known in real life as Ronald Kweku Dei Appiah, Ghanaian musician, Bisa Kdei, has released his third album titled, “Highlife Konnect” which is a combination of indigenous and contemporary highlife songs.
The unveiling which took place at the Airport Square in Accra last Saturday, witnessed scores of industry players in full attendance to support the one-time highlife artiste of the Year at the VGMA.
The 32-year-old singer known for his hit banger back-to-back [Mansa, Brother Brother] launched his fifteen album tracks with other great collaborations.
Artistes who featured on the album include Sarkodie, Patoranking, Kumi Guitar, Yaa Yaa, Mayorkun from Mic Flammes, Reekado Banks, Zambia Oc Osilliation and Cameroonian singer Stanley Enow.
Some of the songs on the album include, BRA, 1924, FAKYE, DOMI BI, BIE WUENI Ft. Kumi Guitar & Akwaboah among other great songs.
On why he featured so many foreign artistes on his new album, Bisa Kdei explained: “It’s been two years now since I released an album and as musician when you are booked for shows you meet lots of artistes who admire our Ghanaian genre of music which is the ‘Highlife’ and it was important for me to connect with these great talents to aid me released this third album.”
The Mansa hitmaker called on Ghanaians to come together and help put highlife onto the highest pedestal.
