BIS students learn to ski

Sixteen students and two teachers of British International School (BIS) located at East Legon Hills in Accra last week had their maiden experience in skiing at Saas-Fees Ski in Switzerland.

Supervised by two Swiss ski instructors, all the students and their teachers were able to use the skis to glide on the snow and learn the ski sport within two days.

The trip to the European country also provided the BIS students the opportunity to meet and share experiences and ideas with students from various Swiss schools.

Head of Admission at BIS, Madam Florence Owusu, indicated that the trip was to offer some form of exposure to the students.
According to her, all the students excelled in the skiing to the extent that they were able to ski higher to the mountains, a pleasant experience that clearly left the students with many happy memories.

She noted that their next trip would be to participate in sporting activities in France and later to an educational tour in the United Kingdom.
