Armwrestlers urged to avoid sex

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kofikrom Pharmacy, Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo, has admonished athletes competing in the maiden edition of the African Arm-wrestling championship to avoid sex that has the tendency to propel them in delivering favourable results.

In his advice to the team before they begin camping ahead of the completion, Dr Agyekum Addo said consuming alcohol and engaging in sex before and during the competition put the athlete at a high risk of losing a lot of energy that could have an effect on his performance.

He further warned them against bad diet, anger, and over-stretching their training regimes.

He appealed to them to be each other’s keeper through the championship and desist from being jealous and other negative attitudes that will mar the progress made by organizers of the event.

About 15 African countries with over 100 athletes are expected to assemble for what could be described as the biggest arm wrestling event on the continent.

The participating countries are; Benin, Cameroon, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Seychelles, Mauritius, Morocco, Mali, Nigeria, Togo, Madagascar, Uganda and host country Ghana.
