All is set for All People’s Congress (APC) to outdoor its Vice-Presidential Candidate, come Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga.
According to General Secretary of the APC, Mr. Razak Kojo Opoku, the event would also be used to officially, launch the party’s 2016 campaign which will be on the theme: “Come on Board, Let Us Safeguard Our Economic Birth Right And Build Ghana Together”.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Accra, Mr. Opoku explained that, the National Executives decided to hold both events at Bolgatanga “because the party wants to build its campaign base from the Upper East Region”.
“The APC like the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) also wants to make Upper East Region its stronghold”.
“…you see we don’t want to be like the other parties, APC has come to stay and the only way to sustain the momentum is to start building our base from the Upper East Region which happens to be the birth place of our founder and leader Dr. Hassan Ayariga,”, Mr. Opoku added.
According to the AP general secretary, after the two events in Bolgatanga, the party will hit the Northern Regional capital, Tamale on September 29, 2016 to launch its Manifesto, dubbed: “All Inclusive Governance”, which he said will be the only way to Ghana’s Economic Prosperity.”
