Alfred Obeng Boateng In Fresh Trouble For Crossing Sword With Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Council…Ban From Campaigning On Sefwi Soil

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) For Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region, Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng has landed himself in a fresh trouble as he cross sword with the Chiefs and Elders of Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Council.

According to the Acting President of the Traditional Council, Katakyie Kwasi Afful II, the NPP PC has shown gross disrespect to the traditional rulers and on several occasions Mr. Obeng Boateng made attempt to resurrect the Chieftaincy issues at Sefwi Bekwai traditional Area.

Katakyie Afful ll, explained that Mr. Obeng Boateng’s behaviour, actions and inactions over the period does not show a good traits of a leader, thus the Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Council has banned him from campaigning on their soil.

The ban of the NPP PC from campaigning in the Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Area was communicated to the NPP Constituency Chairman for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai (BAB) Constituency through a letter written and signed by the Acting President, Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Council, Katakyie Kwasl Afful II.

Portion of the letter read: “Nananom cherish the hope that you as the constituency Chairman will treat this letter with the utmost seriousness and considerations it deserves before further campaigns and programs can continue in the area because the PC’s action is breeding disaffection, disloyalty, dismemberment and divisive tendencies that may go contrary to the Party’s healthy ambitions and aspirations especially this campaign period.”

Further communication in a similar fashion has been sent to the Regional Party chairman (NPP) Western North, Divisional Police Commander, Bibiani, Municipal Chief Executive BABM, Municipal BNI, Bibian and the culprit, Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng. Parliamentary Candidate, BAB Constituency.
