Saudi Arabian side, Al-Ittihad has been ordered by the Federation of International Football (FIFA) to pay Ex-Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Muntari $5miillion for outstanding arrears owed him.
Sulley Muntari signed a two-year contract in a deal which was reportedly worth €2.5 million per season. Al-Ittihad has failed to pay the Ghanaian prompting him to petition FIFA to order the Arabian club make up for all outstanding arrears.
Muntari featured in 83 games in all competitions for the Rossoneri, scoring 13 goals before his contract was rescinded by the Serie A side, a situation that forced him to join Al-Ittihad to enhance his chances of winning his way back into the Black Stars.
Ittihad Jeddah has however been allotted only 14 working days to pay the said amount to the former Portsmouth, Inter Milan and Pescara midfielder.
