Award-winning songwriter and singer, Akwaboah Jnr., says he is expecting “plenty” nominations for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
According to him, he expects to win at least four awards this year.
In an interview last Saturday, Akwaboah Jnr., born Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., said he was highly expectant of the 20th edition of the flagship music awards.
The musician behind the Matters of the Heart album said videos of songs on that album will be out this year.
Among the hit-songs on that album are ‘Hye Me Bo’, ‘Love Unfair’ and ‘Obiba’.
He has so far received five nominations at the VGMAs, having won one – Songwriter of the Year in 2010.
He expressed delight in his career and said he is really having fun.
“I love to do music because you have fun and you are getting paid [at the same time].”
